Helmey has been fortunate enough to travel to Switzerland recently, where she was enchanted by the waterfalls and alpine forests of the Interlaken region. At the same time, the forest pathways and streams felt like her native Tennessee somehow. In this exhibition she paints them with strong light and vibrant color in oils to share what for her, was a reminder that the earth is magnificent wherever you go.
